01 — Cotton
Better Cotton certification
We support brands and producers who want to work with Better Cotton in the textile and apparel supply chain. We guide stakeholders throughout the process and provide field-level training and technical assistance.
Training concentrates on three areas: correct agronomic technique, pest management and water management. Alongside these, social criteria such as working conditions and fair wages are also audited — it is often overlooked that Better Cotton is a social standard as much as an environmental one.
02 — Organic
EU & NOP organic licensing
To use the EU organic logo or label your product organic, you must meet strict EU requirements. For the US market the same function is served by the National Organic Program (NOP). Applications made without understanding the differences between the two frameworks are frequently returned.
The issues that come up most in practice: hydroponic production is prohibited; there are specific conditions for running organic and conventional production on the same farm; sweetener and additive restrictions apply; and contamination can cost a product its organic status.
03 — Regenerative
RegenAGRI & ROC certification
RegenAGRI certifies the transition to holistic farming techniques that build soil organic matter, support biodiversity and improve water and energy management. Certification runs on a three-year cycle with a continuous improvement approach.
What makes this certification distinctive is financial: members can generate carbon credits by having their emissions data verified under ISO 14064/5 accreditation. The certificate opens not just market access but a second revenue stream. At that point it converges with our carbon credit work.
04 — Good practice
Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) consultancy
Good Agricultural Practices cover every stage of production and marketing from soil to table. A risk assessment must be completed before the production decision: soil type, erosion, groundwater level and quality, previous land use and the effect of neighbouring areas.
The records kept throughout production are the backbone of the audit — crop variety, geographic region, timing and rationale of fertiliser and chemical applications, quantities used, the operator's name, days to harvest, irrigation method and volume. Establishing that record discipline is the main body of our work.
05 — Textiles
GOTS — Global Organic Textile Standard
GOTS is the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines environmental and social criteria along the entire supply chain, from raw material harvest through to labelling.
The basic threshold is that a product contains at least 70% organic fibre. Beyond that, dyes and auxiliary chemicals must meet toxicological criteria, accessories must fall within ecological limits, and every wet processing unit must have a functioning wastewater treatment plant. There are four certification scopes; we clarify which applies to you in the first meeting.
Our role
We are consultants, not a certification body
Certificates are always issued by an independent, accredited certification body; the standards prohibit a consultant from auditing their own client. We prepare you for that audit: gap analysis, building the record system, staff training, an internal audit rehearsal and technical support on the day. That separation works in your favour — a file prepared without a conflict of interest passes more cleanly.
